Business Academic Advisor

You’ll meet with the business academic advisor before you start classes.

Before first year, you’ll work together to choose courses that fit your academic plan and create your timetable. If you return for a second year, you’ll do the same.   

Your academic advisor helps you learn about:  

• different business program and major options  
• course options  
• opportunities to get involved on campus  
• what to expect as you begin your classes  
• further study options  

Sometimes people’s dreams and goals change. If that happens to you, your business advisor can help you plot a course to plan B, or plan C. Your advisor is here to help with whatever questions you might have along your academic journey.  

 If you’re interested in further education, either at Lakeland or somewhere else, your advisor can help you understand your options so you can decide what's right for you.  

This includes:  

• taking a second major for a double major diploma  
• moving into the Athabasca University bachelor degree collaboration programs at the Lloydminster campus  
• useful websites and resources
